Prof. Dr. Sebastian Polarz has been elected as the new Executive Director of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry.
The elected members constituted themselves on 13.04.2021 and elected Prof. Dr. Polarz as Executive Director (GL), Prof. Dr. Behrens is deputy.
Prof. Polarz thus takes over the leadership from Prof. Dr. Peter Behrens, who had previously led the institute for several years.
In addition to heading the institute, Prof. Polarz has been appointed professor of the department "Inorganic Molecular and Materials Chemistry" at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of LUH since February 1, 2020 and heads the working group of the same name.
Before moving to LUH, he was Professor of "Functional Inorganic Materials" at the University of Konstanz.
